The gaps in hi-res could be closed...
There may be some problems left around the simple underside trapezoid:

The wing geometry is not correct. Itis not pointed at the blunt end. there is a small parallel section, see all the modern wings in the library nows (65429, 3545) THis is a general issue with some of the older wings that bothers me (along with gaps in the mesh...)
This small section is also missin in the BI mesh
The part is not 40 LDU wide at the bottom, but 38.5, that sould be catered for, and we should redo the 3x6 wings in the same go as they share geometry...
