Since we already have two parts with these descriptions:
15391, Minifig Gun Shooting Blaster
15403, Plate 1 x 2 with Mini Shooting Blaster

IMHO this should be: Minifig Gun Shooting Blaster with Socket Joint-8 with Friction
"Centre" is not needed, and "Fire Nozzle" and "Weapon" as keywords.

Instead of inlining the joint-8 socket, we should adapt the existing primitive.
Create a new primitive, but without the backside structure, that could be used in this new design, and in the old primitive.

I made a new ball socket, without a back surface, to be used here, and updated this part with permission from Berth.

But my review above still stands, and I found some new issues in the position of the body.
According to how this part works in LDD the position of the socket should be "within system".

And I also wonder, is it possible to have a common subfile, used in all three parts, of the inside structure of the body/barrel?

It is true that there is the HELP line, but since it will almost always be inserted with the trigger mounted, it is better to also do the shortcut c01 with the trigger as done for 15391.

I connot see why this HELP could be a reason for a HOLD. Just create the shortcuts you're after and leave a note for the admins to remove the HELP.

I am ok with the prim and its name...
But it is still part of the bigger family "towball"
this is an own connecting family and should be named similar...
(like a stud is always a stud and a pin is always a pin)
the towball family is bigger and older, should be renamed to avoid confusion

We have already had this discusion back when the Mixel parts was made.
The use of Towball is misleading and often misused. There is no famliy of "towball" parts.

This design is know as "Socket Joint-8 with Friction" and that should be used on all parts with this design.
It doesn't matter if this is a System part, or Mixel, Technic, or any one else of the current themes being produced.

To have a more generic name. Most of are time is not used as a tow ball at all!
