Missing the word Pattern.
Why a dimension of the ring in the description?

It would be better to not use a aring, causing overlapping surfaces i hi-res mode.

The old code should be removed.

The word Pattern has to be at the end of the description:
Tile 2 x 2 Corner Round with Black Edge Border Pattern
or
Tile 2 x 2 Corner Round with Black Stripe Pattern

While the part is fine I struggle with the width qualifier in the description, In my eyes it is not needed there. I would prefer Magnus first suggestion.

I would say no.
What you're trying to model is the beveled edge that isn't modeled on ldraw parts.
This pattern should go all the way to the edge.

I don't know what other designs you are thinking of. I'm expressing my personal opinion here.
If I look at the model where this part is used, it is clear that the idea here is to get a continous line, 8 ldu wide, along the entire locomotive. And I think that's how we should model this pattern, 8 ldu think, all the way to the "perfect" edge of this part.

The hidden code has to be removed. Actually you should use it in the sub instead of the bordered pattern
