Yes, it might be used as a towball, but it isn't. It's a bionicle limb.
We have 2 sizes of parts with balls. One large r=12.81 used in constraction part, and one small r=8 mainly used in 4-wide vehicles, and in the newer Mixel hinges.
To me, and many searching for all the parts that are in the same familly of r=8, this part should not be found if I search for "Towball".
"Towball" indicate that it's a ball with r=8. "Towball" are used in their descriptions or as a keyword on those parts.

"Towball" as a keyword, is currently used in 2 bionicle parts, this one, 32173 and 47311.
Both are on the Part Tracker now. IMHO we should remove it from those parts.

Thank you for that explanation. Now that I understand the situation more clearly, I find I now agree with you. Perhaps we should go ahead and edit those two parts.

And, BTW, are you now an Admin on the Tracker? If so, you could make these edits yourself, without the two files losing any votes (i.e. edit via Admin-Edit).

The thicker parts of the "fake pistons" are actually connection points - 3.18 bars. The should be 4 LDU radius, not 3 LDU.

The fake bolts look a bit too wide too.
