This part should be renamed to 74688 (official name just for the sake of this discussion: CROSS BAR 1/1)
74688 is made up of
33036 CROSSBEAM, CUBE 1/1
33037 CROSSBEAM, CUBE 1/2
and, I believe:
33040 CAVITY, CROSS BAR

I don't know which sub-parts are which, since we don't have reference photos or renders on these.

Actually, I think this should be broken up into those three parts, and then 33036c01.dat should be renamed to 74688. consisting of the 5 parts.

Third comment is the charm?

33037s03.dat should be renamed 33040.dat, and broken out of 33036 and 33037, and then added back into the 33036c01 and 33037c01 files, and then those should be renamed

33036c01 -> 74688.dat
33037c01 -> 75524.dat

33037s03 is actually no seperate part, it is part of the main mould, so why ahoudl it get its own part number?

The L-shape needs two more parts so that it can be used in building (the c01 part). These are not 5 separate parts combined...

There is a separate LOOSE PART* 33040 "CAVITY, CROSS BAR" that is defined contextually with 33036 and 33037 (also both LOOSE PART elements). 33036, along with other parts, forms assembly 74688. 74688 is the only element with the name "CROSS BAR" in it, which would seem to indicate that 33040 is a part of that assembly, given its naming.

I was simply guessing that it was 33037s03; I unfortunately don't have a 74688 to observe/inspect.

* LOOSE PART is the TLG nomenclature for elements that aren't released on their own, but (usually) form an assembly, which is the element that's released in a set.

I got all those parts, except the 33267c01 which was insanely expensive..

the 33036 and 33037 have the numbers embossed and are a single mould.

So 74688 (33036c01) cannot have 33037 as a part in the assembly. 33037 is the short L-support

Do you have information on these parts:
6808 (HAS an embossed number)
6809 (has no number embossed, got the number from BL)
6810 (has no number embossed, got the number from BL)

May be one of them could be 33040?
