Or you could have it in the connhole prim.
The radius of the ball is allways 12.81 ldu. Don't ask me why.

I though as well about the connhole, but may be for positioning the ball joint is better.

I think you mean the two strips to the side of it, that's right can be in the main file, it is an editing artefact
