Can more primitives be used??
Yes, the holes in the hinges should be made using cylo primitives.
The whole hinges look very strange with broken, concave surfaces.
Why so many edge lines on the inside of the hinges? The surface looks flat.
Maybe you could make a subfile? It looks left/right symetric.

I've bought this part and made fit check with the counterpart 92453 (in my daughter's brickbox).

Yes, all new hinge parts should have the origin at the hinge unless some other place can be justified.

this part is used both ways (flippable to front or rear), but mostly the hinge is at the front.
and the counterparts (92453 and the older 4544) arent here.
(also, why are no train bases here? we have tracks but nothing to drive)

please rotate the hinge to the front and move the origin to the center of the hinge
Moved the origin to the hinge and matched the orientation with 4544
