I don't quite like the c00 numbering of this.
I would better like c01, or using an u.....dat number.

This is an assembly of plastic moulding 2865 and two formed metal pieces. The convention for ????cNN files is that they use the base number of the most obvious component moulding. Yes this could be 2865c01 and bump up the other four, but it DEFINITELY should be 2865c??.

I'm sorry to come up with this this late, but I just discovered
that this file has a different vertical origin than the
currently official 4.5V and 12V files.
(Both the origin choice there and here of course make sense in their way.)
However, I would like to achieve that this file, and its 4.5V and 12V
counterparts can be freely interchanged, without having to each time
correct the vertical positioning.
We have a chance here to do that now, because this file can have
that origin, and the MOVED-TO pointing here can compensate for that
to achieve downwards-compatibility.
I think we should apply that change. Do you as well? Chris?

A train track application needs to be aware of all separate items and their numbers. So the additional work for the correct origin that all fits together needs to be done by that application, not by our library.

I agree with mikeheide, this library is not responsible origin in applications.
I also agree with what steffen is suggesting that we should keep similar parts consistent with one another.
However, I disagree with steffen and the desire to shift the 9v track system to do this.
The 9v track system has the origin logically placed on the top of the plate as all other parts.
Whereas the 12v and 4.5v have track systems have their origin at the top of the rail which feels wrong to me.
