I don't understand this.
Why is this a Part, made of many other Parts, when the -p01 is a Shortcut?
How is it made? Dual mould or a glued assembly? 2 dual moulded and glued halves?

These kind of bigger parts are usually made of 2 hollow halves. And the 2x2 studs are integrated in one of the halves.

I think both sould be handled as a part to avoid the gaps, so I need to change p01.

This thing is made out of a lot of parts. To me it looks like left and right is clipped together, like the Friends horses. It is a roughly 15+ EUR part, so I am not going to disassemble it.

The legs are not part of the shells and are not molded as one. Same for the body, consists of two halves, may be kind of friction welded together. To top it of the top 2x2 thing has got a different surface, that's why It looks to be a different part. I need to check again all my ostriches, to see if this is now part of the left half of the body or really a stand alone part.

Should be more a shortcut in my eyes.

There is no rendering issue. Parts inside a Shortcut will not be rendered with gaps between them.

IMHO this has to be a shortcut.

If I'm reading the lists correctly the parts are:
88285, Ostrich head
88294, Ostrich right
88296, Ostrich left
90483, Ostrich legs left
90484, Ostrich legs right

88618, Ostrich assembly complete
89360, (designID) Ostrich (printed assembly, black with white wings and light nougat legs and printed head)

Sub-parts could be renumbered.
This is an assembly, and should be a shortcut.

Origin is not correct. Should be on top surface between the 4 studs.
