Bottom Looks good.

The Instructions app data has no interior support close to the cutout for the stud. SO four on the curved side and six on the straight side.
The stud cutouts are having parallel faces in the app-data

I haven't looked for a review video so far if this is correct in the real part

Just got the real part in my hands.

THe stud cut out on the vurved side is just parallel, it is not rounded to fit a stud, it provides no clutch power at all, the stud can move freely in and out

Would it be worth making a subpart without the surface for the patterned version?
Also would it be possible to use 1-8sphe and 1-4cyli primitives or does the geometry not quite match?

sphe primitives are possible, but we decided to go for a non primitive shape on the 1x1 round quarter dome, 1871.

I guess the reason was that it appead first rpinted and to avoid subsequent gaps when prim substitution is done
