needs a fix for the lens BFC error, but should be done in the receiver or in its subparts...

Which BFC error?

in the 3D Preview, you can see the cable when looking at the front...
the surface of the receiver is modeled only at the outside, you can look in the IR-trans front and the rear is rendered transparent from BFC
you can also see the bottom studs when viewing from the top.
Does anyone have a broken one to open it? does that need (solid) vision blockers or should the inside be modeled?

that trans-IR lens causes this error in nearly all parts with this (both senders and the receiver)

bb0396c01 doesnt exist here yet (the electric car base with IR Receiver)

AH, I see, with the 3D preview... Maybe it's alpha that's not accounted for correctly, using LDView it's not visible.

Mmhhh... can be seen too with LDCad. Since in the real part we can't see internals at all, we could argue that IR color (32) is not correctly defined!
Imho the simplest solution would be to add a black see-through blocker.

hm, when looking from the side, it appears that the top cylinder is better (double surfaces), maybe that can help.
