I'm fine with the axlehole. What I don't like at all is the way the bottom renders, especially with prim substitution. It can be done much more cleaner (and efficiently) using more prims, here is my proposal:

but yes, your variant is better...

I just scaled stud4 to keep number of surfaces low (stud4 can be scaled in Y direction)

Yeah, using chrd+tndis has 2 benefits, it introduces less extra vertices, and it can be used with (almost) any inside/outside radii.

why not scale the stud4 and remove cyli extensions in subpart?
