A similar/same part exists already (3040p01) but the new one matches better with the print (image reference https://www.newelementary.com/2024/12/parts-review-10355-blacktron-renegade.html).
I think this should be 3040p08 (or similar) something not 3040bp01.
All other prints of this part use 3040 as base, not 3040b (or maybe we need to rename all the older ones?).

p01 is certainly not correct, but this one is a new pattern. So yes there should be 2 separate ones I think.
Old one has a thicker border, the red squares are smaller and have slightly rounded corners.
New one also has a larger offset from the brick's border.
I would also think it highly unlikely for a print discontinued for 20+ years to re-appear completely un-altered :)

(take the "thin border" here, thats the main difference)
also, you could rework the pattern to get rid of the vertices in the middle
(could also rework the old one to a wider border with small unprinted rim)

I'd say "thin" and "thick" border since that's the major difference.
