Please note:
The inner edge prims are still set to the 48 hi-res version. A 1-16 edge segment does not fit in between the spokes.
These do connect to the technic pin hole in the center, which is now a standard res cylinder. I am not sure if this is such a good idea.
I considered changing to a simple full circle edge prim here, but this might cause issues for the transparent version.

The outer end is protruding through the rim cone.
And the inner end need to reach the inner pin hole cylinder.
I think we need to have the hub outside in hi-res.

Regarding the inner cylinder:
Currently this set so that both end points of the spoke cylinder are on the center cylinder's circumference (creating a small intersection).
If I put this cylinder correctly tangential there, it creates a gap.
The correct adapter prim only exists for 4-4 cylinders, not 2-4 ones.
Is the gap really preferable in this situation?

*I realized I had a slight calculation error in the old one, where the spokes were meant to touch the ideal ring, but actually it should be the polygon ring, creating a collision. So the outer section should be fixed now. However the center vertex of each 1-4cyls2 still goes slightly through the cone. Is there a better prim available?

would it help to use a 2-4 cyls? if the hub has to be standard-res?

The way cyls/cyls2 is cut should make that not really an option I think.
I would help to get rid of 2 lines in the sub-file, but it wouldn't affect poly-count or anything else.
Also, since the gapy are now closed, keeping the 48 center cylinder sounds like the best solution. Otherwise the edge underneath the spokes could be seen in the transparent one.

*reworked spokes, still not perfect, but should fit a bit better
*moved the chrds to the sub-file
Moving the quads to the sub-file causes other issues - either I would need to have the ndis on the reverse rotated 45 degree (rounding errors), use a far more complicated geometry to fit a tang prim there or have a new sub-file for the reverse. So no change there. Note that front and back are offset 45 degree.

why not include the rear spokes here? no need for rotating then.
