@Rene: Mixing prim and triangles will look awkward at different resolutions, especially if they are part of the same circle, no fan of this
@Franklin: I don't think we should do this. All other parts using this symbol use that description. If we change this, all have to be changed.
Also this is specifically the icon of the Open Circle Fleet, commanded by Obi-Wan Kenobi as General of the Grand Army of the Republic, so "Old" Republic can be a bit misleading here.

Further concern: This is oriented differently than some similar parts. I think they should all have the same orientation. However, I think this one is correct and the others not (at least if I understand Wookieepedia correctly).

Furthermore, I'd like a reference to the other wording for this pattern (i.e.: parts/4150psa.dat, "Galactic Republic Type 2 Pattern"). Adding the phrase "Galactic Republic Type 2 Pattern" (minus the quote marks, of course) to the Keywords should be sufficient, I'd think.

I realize now that Chris did not specifically say this file should be rotated, but that this one is rotated differently from all the other iterations of this pattern.
Nonetheless, my objection and proposed solution remains the same.
also, to be consistent with the other iterations of this pattern, I have also rotated the pattern by 90 degrees. however, *IF* the consensus is that this pattern should NOT be rotated, then I can quickly update this (parent) file accordingly, and still use the new sub-file.
Since this is a new pattern (and has not yet been released as an official DAT file), we can fix this problem now.
