Looking at photos of the set, I think the DBG bars are too close to the sides. I'm welcome to be proven wrong though since I couldn't find any pics of the bare part.

Indeed, the stripe are a bit farther from the borders and the maybe slightly smaller. Can be seen in the instruction as well as in speed builds on YouTube.
