Since it's easy to achieve with prims, the stud3 should be shortened to fit bottom surface (and intersection line be made from a 4-4edge)

If you use rect1 here include the two edges to form a rect3

For the walls of the inside of the larger space I would suggest using two quads rather a quad and two triangles.
