I think the axle slots could use lo-res, 8-sided prims.
This axle hole primitive contains an hole adapter prim. You could use 3-16tndis here.

the axle slot (type/size/detail) is copied from the 3blade one...
other parts with this type of slot are also very inconsistent in the end type (square/lo-res/standard)
