Leftover cyli primitive at:
1 16 0 -3.5 0 2.07055 0 -7.72741 0 5.5 0 7.72741 0 2.07055 48\1-12cyli.dat

This tri needs to be two (unmatched vertex):
3 16 0 -6.5 4 1.5308 -6.5 3.6956 3 -6.5 5.196

Would this be a good opportunity to create hi-res version of these torus prims?

fully hi-res or would it be ok with a mixed-mode torus?

Mixed-mode is probably sufficient at this scale. (Although the hub of the wheel is already using hi-res primitives.)

thats why I suggested mixed-mode: 48 segments ring-wise like the hub make better connections with the three arms...

The torus should be mixed, definately, the handle has a radius of less then 4 LDU

Updated with a mixed-mode tori and subfiled/avoided some prim transformation

* Since this is a CC BY 2.0 and we will never be able to get hold of Guy a complete rewrite would be welcome.

What does "2D" stand for?
We usually use 2L, and maybe 2M.

I rewrote a lot from the original part, should I take the ownership?
Regarding the description I agree with updating it to 2L
