Ah OK, I was just trying to line them up to where they were roughly on the original is all, I will make them more uniform. Not sure why the Y values where there I probably just pressed something accidentally so I will fix that too.

I was trying to avoid having any long narrow triangles which is why they are there.

For example if I change it then you get these horrible small triangles. The smaller sides of the part I can get away with not having them but the longer edges you can't connect all the points without them from what I can see.

as of now, we also get thin triangles from the edgeline to the vertex, thats why we are allowed to use the center vertex of the outer side lines...
(if still thin, cut that again to quarters, but try to keep it on the edgeline)
also try flipping the quads/triangles for a better triangulation
