It's just that on a flat surface for an unrotated prim where basically everything else is rectangular it's not causing any damage either ;)

But placing the pattern in another subfile s\15210pc1s01.dat, is not wanted.

To sum up: Keep s\15210s01.dat but inline s\15210pc1s01.dat into this file. Don't worry about what happens to s\15210pc1s01.dat on the Tracker, the Admins will take care of that.

Thanks for the summary. I have cleaned up the circles in IMG4DAT, inlined the surface into the part file, and run the file through Rectifier to reduce the size. I have started playing around with using 4-4disc and ndis prims, but I've got a bit of a learning curve to retrofit those into a file generated by IMG4DAT.

What is the process for replacing the old part with the updated one?

if you found good approximations for circles as prims, keep them...
are the ends of the long lines really that wobbly? ideally these would be perfect, identical rectangles (also the spaces between them)

At a large scale (800x800) the rectangles have slightly rounded corners, and the triangle vertices are somewhat blunted. At LDU scale, those seem to create some undesired artifacts in the final output. I can clean those up further.
