checked a 4V motor with broken axle stub: the fracture is closed, the inner hole seems to be not that deep...
(whats the difference to 172.dat then? why is this part then still named "Motor and Gearbox Plastic Axle" if the gearbox has a separate one?)

suggestion: shorten the inverted cylc to about 10-12 LDU, then it stops before the rubber band notch
(that notch is already the weakest point, no need to weaken it further with the hole)
