why the slightly slanted groove? would it work with vertical 1x1 LDU groove (rect2p) and p8 1-4cylo corners?

Ah I didn't realise it had any bottom tubes, I will add them.
I kept the slant as it was in the original model they aren't square corners they are slightly sloped.
