Origin is fine, I'd say rotate it 180° as the understandability of part seen from default orientation (no occlusion from higher elements in front of lower ones), moreover half circle parts are oriented with circle in front.

but if the half circle plate is at the front, you barely see the technic pin/axle holes, and I think these are more important
