Third time's a charm I guess? Somehow added one extra segment. Note to myself - never ever touch LDraw again without having a good sleep same day
Is now properly built using segmented sections, need to have it's number changed accordingly (into 3096-f1) and probably renamed

now it seems that there are a bit too much treads, Bricklink says 30...
seems to be a newer version of 486, maybe copy the design from there.
Bricklink also lists this part as a version of x486a named x486, maybe include this other part number in the header.

x486a was just released as 486. 3096 is the number for the "earlier" of the 2 variants, this one. I couldn't confirm that 486 was also 3096 as a mold variant so I left it as 486 (it probably is but probably isn't good enough for numbering).

Actually, 3096 is the newer.
x486a = 1969-1970
x486 = 3096 = 1969-1987

This one is for sure newer, since only appearance before 1971 are all alternates. Likely was introduced in re-releases as replacement for x486a and was used after that.

Just found that part and can confirm its wrong: there are only 5 segments at round part...
If there are tread parts at the outer middle:

(__________) <-- tread segment at the outermost position
then there are 10 segments straight and 5 around the rim...
